Best costume store ive ever been to. Staff is friendly, helpful and fun. The themed areas are really well done. Excellent props and wide variety of all ages costumes and accessories, wigs, pro makeup, prothestic wounds and tatas. Also large variety of decorations from vintage Beistles to full size animatronics. If I worked here I'd spend my entire paycheck every week. Oh hey, they also have gags and jokes. Don't forget to get your fortune told by Zoltar.

Big store with everything you need for Halloween wear, the workers are knowledgeable and helping. It’s a big building separated into like 4 huge rooms, it’s easy to wonder where stuff is but Luckily plenty of workers to help. Prices are on par with Amazon and Walmart and also have dressing rooms. Accessories seem high price but hey they have all the accessories you should need.

It was the night before Halloween and I needed a wig for my husband's costume, very easy to find, staff really helped and I was checked out quickly. Parked in front of the building. There were a lot of people there and was in a part of downtown that isn't that safe, but it all worked out perfectly.

A hidden gem for sure! As a Google Maps Local Tour guide I was impressed at this neat store full of costumes, masks, wigs, decor, props, and friendly staff! I went in today to see their inventory, talk with some of their staff, and compare prices to other stores that are somewhat similar in goods sold. And Caufield’s definitely takes the cake. It had very fair pricing, a full stock of pretty much anything you could think of for costumes or decor. I did take a good amount of pictures, but it was difficult to show ALL that is inside of this local gem. It is def worth a look into, please respect their rules, and enjoy all that it has to offer. Ask them “what’s under the stairs?” And they might show you!! Big shoutout to Kelly for helping me out to find a great costume. I will be back : )

I had never heard of Caufield’s Novelty until I passed it after visiting the Louisville Slugger Museum. The giant bat and skull out front—paired with the old Coke bottling plant facade—immediately grabbed my attention. I had no idea what was inside, but I knew it had to be cool. And it absolutely was. Inside, I found an eclectic mix of costumes, masks, makeup, magic tricks, and classic horror memorabilia. The animatronic horror props added an unforgettable, immersive element to the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and fun to chat with, which made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be stopping by on every trip to Louisville.

Wow what a hidden gem 💎. I've grew up in this city and never been here. Huge place with anything and everything you could ever want or need for a costume party, gag gifts, disguises, halloween party, decorations, and so much more. Plus a scary haunted house with animatronics that are available for purchase. You gotta get your fortune told from the famous Zoltar wish making fortune telling machine from the movie Big.

Wonderful experience at Caufields. The entire crew working were amazing. Friendly, helpful, and funny. This store is more than just shopping, its an experience. Such a fun and exciting store! It feels nostalgic and offers a great selection. I definitely Recommend!!

Saw a YouTube video from AJ Good on The House of Masks YouTube channel and had to visit Caufield's all the way from Michigan. Definetly a Halloween fans dreamstore, WAY BETTER than any dime a dozen Spirit Halloween or Halloween Store. Plus they had a little haunted house on the back. Caufields I think has been around since the 20s or 30s I think. Hopefully it's open for another hundred years. So worth the trip!!!

Ok absolutely LOVE THIS! I originally went there just like hanging out and see the vendors, but I end up getting likes selves house with the entire area. It just I was trapped and pulled in by everything and everyone around me, like good vibes everywhere, and everyone is just really nice and such a mood. And don't even get me started on all the animatronics and cool stuff they sell like awesome and totally worth it. And there were even like a few people that were dressed up, kind of like scared after is, and it would act like scare actors, I don't know if they actually are but like, it was awesome. But the place is awesome, one million percent would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing! This place is a must-see for any type of costume or fun wear. The staff is super friendly and nice. They will help you with most anything in the store. Halloween Heaven! 🎃 Be sure to check out their scary dungeon in the back!Dressing 👗 rooms are available to try on items. Parking is available on the side of the building. 🚗
